Welcome to NeuroEd
Your Source for Neuroscience Education Materials
NeuroEd is for high school teachers and students engaged in exploration
of challenging new findings in neuroscience. The site is ideal for use
in advanced seminar-style classes or to supplement neurobiology units
in advanced placement classes. NeuroEd draws on readings, audio, video,
and illustrations from recent Dana Foundation material. Members of the
Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives reviewed all of the materials. The
Dana Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation with principal
interests in science, health, and education.
Modules
The content is arranged into five modules (listed below) or "Enrichment Materials". Materials are assigned in each module to one of the following categories: Causes and Groups at Risk, Diagnosis and Treatment, Current Research, Refresher Materials, and Discussion Topics. Suggestions on how to use the content in the classroom and descriptions of the source materials are provided in the User’s Guide.
Enrichment Materials
As a supplementary resource for the five modules, we have included biographies, material on ethical issues, reviews of literary offerings, and general background information in this section.
