New Vistas in Addiction Treatment: Easier Access, Greater Choice of Medications

This article reviews the new pharmacological agents soon to be available for treatment for alcohol and drug addictions, and discusses the possibility that treatment may move from rehabilitation centers back to the doctor's office. Some of the drug treatments reviewed are acamprosate, ondansetron, topiramate, and buprenorphine.
